Artist
Since a child, Cheryl Syminink has been creating art. Her parents helped inspire her by traveling and camping along the east coast. While on these excursions, she would often paint, draw, sew and create many projects. In high school, her art teacher introduced her to glass mosaics. At the age of 16, she made her first mosaic. After graduating, she fell into a glass apprenticeship at the age of 18. She graduated Brookdale Community College with an Associates in Art. At the age of 23 she started The C-Glass Studio, and at the age of 26 became a full time glass artist.
An avid outdoorswoman and surfer, most of her art is nature and sea inspired. Cheryl's work has been seen in the Frederick Gallery in Spring Lake, The White Butterfly in Jackson, Idiosyncrazies in Point Pleasant and the LBI Art Foundation in LBI, New Jersey.
You can now see her work in Plethora Boutique in Point Pleasant, ReFind in Bay Head, Artisans Spirit in Spring Lake, Weston Gallery in Manasquan, Garden State Surf & Art, SeaWall Artifacts, Sea La Vie, Island Teak on Long Beach Island, and the Noyes Museum in Atlantic City, NJ. She has also done a 3ft x 5ft mosaic for the Red Bank Surf Taco! She presents at art shows around the jersey shore area along with the Monmouth Festival of the Arts. Her artwork can be seen in many private collections throughout the Jersey Shore and nationwide.
